Dear Colleagues,
Advances in anesthesiology continue to improve patient safety and perioperative outcomes. Nevertheless, anesthesia-related complications remain a critical concern in daily clinical practice. Rapid developments in medical technology, monitoring systems, and innovative techniques provide new opportunities for anesthesiologists to detect, prevent, and manage complications more effectively. Continuous learning and professional collaboration therefore remain essential to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
In response to these challenges and opportunities, we are pleased to announce the 8th Biennial Symposium on Anesthesia Complications, which will be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on August 22nd–25th, 2026, at Grand Hotel De Djokja. This year’s theme, “Smart Anesthesia: Overcoming Complications Through Technology and Innovation,” highlights the growing role of modern technology, data-driven decision making, and innovative clinical approaches in improving safety within anesthesia and perioperative medicine.
The symposium will feature a series of scientific sessions addressing contemporary issues in anesthesia complications, including early recognition, prevention strategies, and evidence-based management. Renowned experts and experienced clinicians will share their knowledge and insights, offering valuable perspectives that bridge clinical practice, research, and technological advancement. The program is designed to encourage discussion, exchange of ideas, and professional networking among anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals.
Beyond the academic program, participants will also have the opportunity to experience the cultural richness and hospitality of Yogyakarta, a city well known for its heritage, traditions, and warm atmosphere.
We warmly invite you to join us at the 8th Biennial Symposium on Anesthesia Complications and look forward to welcoming you to Yogyakarta in August 2026.
